Kim Taek-jin Biography
Kim Taek-jin is the founder and CEO of online gaming company NCSoft. He attended Seoul National University, gaining a Bachelor of Arts/Science and a Master of Science. After university, he worked in Boston in the United States at the R&D Center at Hyundai Electronics, and was head of the team that launched the first internet access in South Korea.
In 1997 Kim Taek-jin founded NCSoft, taking it public in 2003. It is the country’s second largest online gaming company. In 2012 he sold most of his shares in the company, leaving himself with just over a 10% stake in the business he is still CEO of.
