Educated at the National Taiwan University, and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree, Chang is the chairman of Advanced Semiconductor Engineering. ASE, a Taiwan based company, is the largest independent provider of semiconductor assembling and test manufacturing services in the world.

Jason and his brother Richard, are large investors in the Sino Horizon Group, a Taiwanese commercial real estate developer.
